ICX Africa
Integrated Commodity Exchange (ICX) is the big project that is currently taking up most of my daylight hours.
Integrated Commodity Exchange (ICX) is a technology firm that through various alliances and business experiences has an integral knowledge of the commodities market and how it functions.
I am responsible for the bringing this system to light as well as constructing a functional and well designed User Interface - with a team of developers that will require a little direction when it comes to the pretty stuff.
I'm looking forward to crunch time.
FYTA Film Festival
The Filmmaking Youth Taking Action Film Festival is a non-profit film festival for young filmakers:
FYTA Films also enables young filmmakers to tell their own stories. There are voices outside of Hollywood and FYTA is there to help uncover them amongst the true free spirits of society- the youth! This year we join forces with Mexican filmmakers to explore the common ground between our countries- in film, in history and in daily life.
This has been a fun project where I did the design and development based on the clients request for a "grungy theme". It was also the first time I got my hands dirty using the Joomla CMS.
UJ Annual Project Day
This website has been a pet project of mine since 2005 when I was studying Web and Application Development at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) and has seen a few versions over that time.
Recently getting its own domain, the current version is based on the Wordpress platform; leaveraging off Wordpress I am planning on involving current students with the website.
Future developments for this website include designing a custom Wordpress theme (currently using a downloaded theme),
and adding plugins to assist students with their current projects. Go and check it out
